I Have Always Imagined Paradise Will Be Some Kind of Library
Ianto heads out of the pub, following closely behind Remus. "Library's off that way," he says, pointing vaguely. "I promise not to get us too lost." He grins broadly. "I have been there before, just not from here."

"So," he asks curiously as they head down the street, "how much experience do you have with...Muggle...technology?"

That's fine... I don't have a very good sense of direction as a human either.

*let his eyes scan the street as they proceed* I...used a typewriter for a while. I don't imagine that this is anything like that, certainly I've been warned that Muggle technology does not necessary respond well to magical interference...

*tilts his head towards Ianto* You're developing the terminology already, I'm impressed.

It's not so much a bad sense of direction as a new place. *grins* I'm sure I'll get my bearings eventually.

Well, the keyboard is the same, at least, so you're saved having to learn to use that, and that can be difficult for some people. I'm not sure about the interference, though, we'll have to wait and see. *curious* Would it matter if you didn't use magic around them, though? I mean, is the magic inherent to you, and would that be enough to affect things? *shakes his head* Sorry, it's just that this whole thing's so new to me, there's a lot to wonder about.

*shrugs* Well, it's just a word. Once you hear it used, know what it means, it's easy enough to pick up. Just like the terminology for any field, I guess.

*looks around, recognises a few shops on the street* It's farther up this way, then turn to the right, I think.

No, it wouldn't. It's just an observation. I wouldn't want it to explode or anything; they're quite expensive, computers, aren't they? And I don't think I could fix it with a simple spell.

*smiles, looking around as they advance up the street; he turns his attention back to Ianto after a moment.

It's very kind of you to give me a crash course. If there is anything I can do in return to make up for it...I don't know, confound one your house mates to make him easier to live with... A memory charm... *grins playfully* Sirius is having a bad effect on me; he always was the prankster.

Well, I don't think they explode so much as they just...shut down. But even then, it's rarely irreparable. They are expensive, though, yes.

Oh, no, I wouldn't ask you to do anything like that. There's no need to repay me at all, really. But, you know, *pulls his bottom lip nervously between his teeth, but breaks into a smile after a moment* if you could just...show me some more magic, maybe? Anything you want.

*walks along a bit farther* Yes, we need to turn right just here.

Okay.

*gently, glancing sidewards at Ianto and seeing how nervous he is, he lets out a laugh and reached over to touch him on the shoulder, almost hesitantly, though the gesture is bold.*

Any time, Ianto. Happily. I should come and visit you. You'd be surprised how spruce you can make a home with a touch of magic. And I should check for boggarts, anyway.

*laughs, mostly at himself, turning towards to Remus with a smile at the touch on his shoulder*

I'd love to have you come by sometime. *thinks for a moment* Maybe best to wait until my flatmates are out, though/

I think that's a good idea, besides the fact that the very sight of Krycek makes me want to transform and chew his hands off...

*stops when they reach the library and looks up at the huge letters above the door.*

We're here. After you?

*frowns at Remus' words* Do I even want to know? Or maybe "do you even want to tell me?" would be a better question.

Oh, thank you. *walks in, holding the door open behind him for Remus to follow*

*once inside, leads Remus over to a row of computer of tables finds an empty one, and pulls out a chair for Remus to sit down* Here we are.
