On the Beach
Ianto smiled as he walked along the beach, enjoying the cool breeze blowing in off the ocean. He headed away from the main area of the beach, where the tourists and families were. After the hectic atmosphere of both the raffle and the party, he appreciated the peace and quiet.

He took a seat on a rock jutting out of the sand and stretched his legs out in front of him, listening to the sound of waves rolling in.

Krycek looked at the dog as they stepped on to beach, then smiled slightly to himself as he watched him play after having been bound in the secret hiding place for the duration of the party

You know what the doc said. He shook his head as the dog bounded over to him, rubbing his head on Krycek's knees. Krycek reached down to pet him, then sat on the beach, enduring the dog's licks and small barks for attention with chuckles and petting.

sorry, strange format, but I wanted to set the scene a bit

*looks up as the sound of a dog barking carries down the beach*

*stares at the figure in the distance for a few seconds, trying to work out if it's someone he knows*

*thinks he recognizes who is it, but waits for them to come closer before saying anything*

No problem. I've returned to this format just because that's what I'm most comfortable with, but it does have its limitations.

*draws his hand along the dog's back, scratches his chest*
*laughs quietly as the dog licks him again and pushes his head against Alex's chest*

Sorry dog. The doctor said no rough playing and running around.

*levels himself up off the sand and walks a bit further along, the beach, the dog running off into the distance, stopping, turning back around to him, then off to explore a bit*
*notices the figure, squints into the darkness*
*whistles for the dog that comes back to him*
*stops in the middle of the beach, holding the dog by the collar*
*dog whines*
*lets him go and watches dog walk over to the figure on the stone*

I like this one more, in general, too, but yeah, there are certain limitations
